I wish I had a nice, long background on journalism or writing to make a simple blog creation feel like an event, but in the end I'm basically just a nobody that plays a lot of videogames. A year ago, I've started writing some long reviews on a social network site called "Backloggd" to exercise my writing skills and share my thoughts about the games I've played.

Some months ago I've got the idea to create something else that could reuse some of those texts and also be possible to add other ideas as well, like posting some screenshots or talking about hardware or non-software related stuff that I have and want to talk about. So why not a blog?

This is the blog, them.

"versusthe.space" was basically a concession. I've always used "vstheworld" as a handle online (because of... scott pilgrim), but most of the domains like it were used or very expensive. I liked how the scope got bigger with the ".space" though hehe.

The first phase of this blog will be bringing everything that I've created on other platforms to here, both the texts from Backloggd and screenshots from Pixelfed. I'll try to bring 3 texts per week from there, and day-and-date with new posts. I'll use as an excuse to review and correct them as well. For screenshots, I may do a Sunday post with some of them until all of the pretty ones are posted. I'm starting this in a Thursday, though, so be patient, I like my weekends too. Eventually, what I envision here is to be the place to have the same reviews as the other site, but also my screenshots, some lists and some other stuff that I want to throw to the void of the post-internet internet that we currently have.
