Mafia: The Old Country for sure is polished and pretty, but it is also vapid and unremarkable. A generic mob narrative with a forgettable gameplay.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined sometimes feels too simple, but its charm won me over. A very fun adventure, even if too streamlined.

Gorgeous, but often uncanny. Rewarding consequences, but a terrible cliffhanger. As Dusk Falls is paradoxical. Still, it's worth it.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is one of the most memorable years of Kazuma Kiryu's life. Even if some elements of the game still end up being a bit rusty.

Although it has some great stuff in it, it is not enough to really be good, since there are so many problems with its story, cast, progression, enemy variety and open world.

The remake of the first game is a steppingstone. It isn't the start of the franchise anymore – as it is Yakuza 0 or Yakuza: Like a Dragon. It is just another chapter in Kiryu's life. An important one, but a mediocre game.
